Kindess matters pledge

October 11, 2023 – October is National Bullying Prevention Month, today Caswell Dual Language Academy took a significant step towards fostering a safe and respectful learning environment by hosting an anti-bullying assembly.

During the assembly, the school's administrative team led a powerful discussion, defining the distinctions between bothering, conflict, and bullying. This essential knowledge empowers students to recognize and address these issues effectively.

One of the assembly's central messages was the importance of reporting bullying incidents to a safe adult at school. While the school appreciates parental reports, immediate and efficient action can be taken when students report bullying on campus.

The administrative team emphasized the legal aspects of bullying, reminding students that bullying is against the law and that their school is dedicated to keeping them safe while fostering a conducive learning environment.

Students took a pledge to stand up against bullies, demonstrating their commitment to creating a kind and respectful atmosphere. The pledge was sourced from the MBF Prevention Education website.

In addition to taking the pledge, students actively participated in spreading positivity by completing a "Kindness Matters" coloring page, reinforcing the idea that kindness plays a significant role in the fight against bullying.

Caswell Dual Language Academy is dedicated to nurturing a safe and respectful environment where students can learn and thrive. The anti-bullying assembly is part of the school's ongoing commitment to promote these values.
