Your participation will help shape district-wide strategies and policies that benefit all students. Parent Teacher Club: Connect with fellow parents and teachers once a month to enhance the school experience for everyone. Hello Caswell Families, I am so excited to welcome you to the 2023 - 2024 school year! This is my second year as Principal of Caswell Dual Language Academy and I am honored to announce that this year 5th grade became a dual language grade level. I feel so fortunate to be part of this journey and to work with amazing dual language educators that are focused on ensuring our students become bilingual and biliterate. Our staff looks forward to working together with each of you as we help prepare your children for a successful future. This year we will fully implement our district vision of Equity and Standards Based Learning. We highly encourage parent involvement and we are excited to say that parents are welcome on campus once again! All visitors must check in at the front office and provide a valid ID through the Raptor system. Additionally, if parents are planning to become a volunteer and or attend school field trips, you must submit a volunteer application each year. Please contact our Community Liaison, Carmen Medina. Our main form of communication at Caswell is through Parent Square. If you have not downloaded the application or need support, please contact our Carmen Medina and she would be more than happy to support you. We also have a school website that provide you with calendar and school information and is updated throughout the school year. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at 556-1620. This year, our goal is to continue working on student drop off and pick up procedures. Please follow the procedures implemented by the school as your child’s safety is of paramount importance. We ask that you partner with us and follow our staff guidance while in the drop off/pick up lanes. Ceres Unified continues to provide free breakfast for all students and it is served at 7:50 every day. If your child is not eating breakfast, we encourage you to drop them off after 8:00 am. For additional district information, please be sure to download the district Application by going to your Apple or Android app store and searching Ceres Unified. Our staff thanks you for your ongoing support and we look forward to working with you! I am honored to be a part of the Caswell family. Sincerely, Ismael Maldonado Principal
